I just re-read the book "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" Thank-you Ellie for the inspiration:) We were so excited to read your blog post and have you join the Great Kids Movement!!
Here is my reflection: It's very good to fill someone else's bucket. It'll make them feel happy. If you don't fill someone's bucket they'll feel sad. If you dip into someone's bucket, that means you're bullying them or you've made fun of someone. Always be kind and try filling someone's bucket and see what it does. Today think "I am going to fill a bucket!" Here are some ways how: say kind things, help someone, stick up for someone if they're being made fun of and always stand up for yourself. I have a power shield that helps me stand up for myself. A power shield is an invisible shield I wear everyday and it helps me stand up for myself and others if someone's being mean and helps protect me from mean words. I like my power shield and you can wear one too. Now let's talk about dipping in a bucket: Dipping in a bucket is if you lie to someone or make fun of someone. Never do that because you'll make their buckets empty and they'll feel sad. I see this in my school sometimes. I guess some kids are still learning to be bucket fillers, but most kids are nice. So try to be a great kid and fill lots of buckets everyday.
