Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a food bank called "Feed the Need in Durham". At the food bank, we unboxed food, that was donated by kind people in the community. I had the opportunity to help out and organize food so that it could be shipped out to those in need. It was a great experience because I got to learn what a food bank really is and how many people it benefits.
Did you know that 1 in 3 Canadians are homeless and that 38% of those people are kids? If we all help out we can make a difference in our community. This year instead of collecting presents for my birthday, I will be collecting canned goods for those in need . This is just one way in which I can make a difference in my community. How do you think that you can help? By Vikram, age 11 Comments are closed.
