In the past week, I've had some pretty rough days. One particular morning, I had slept in, had a tiny lunch, got hit in the head several times in gym, received a math test, and got hurt at school (not to mention I was stuck in the office for an hour because my mum's phone ran out of battery.)
I had come home and was lying on the couch, face-down, being a grump when my little sister, who's only five, brought me a cup of water and was especially nice to me, recognizing I was a little out of sorts. I went to bed early, and almost crushed a delicate golden box with my name on it. My sister had drawn me an adorable, detailed seal (one of my top three favourite sea animals-- the first being narwhals) and a bunch of watermelon flavoured jelly beans. She knows I love them. I spent the next few minutes nibbling them before falling asleep.
This small act of kindness, compassion and empathy was carried with me for the rest of the week, and kept me smiling all the was through. And always know that to the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world.~Dr.Seuss
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted!
