Recently, I was on vacation to Chicago, Illinois.
I was a great city with lots to see and lots to do. But, in the city, there was one main problem, poverty.
I stood there watching people walk by as if the homeless where invisible. Only a small amount stopped to help out the hundreds in need.
I started to feel terrible, until I saw a women with a sign standing beside a homeless man. Her sign read, "For every donation made to this man, I will match your donation". This woman had spent a good part of her day sitting beside the homeless man, enticing people to stop and matching their donations. I noticed that many more people took notice and stopped to make a donation.
This inspired me and made me think about what I could do to help those in need. Like that woman, we can all make a difference.
